"Dear Dr. Johnson,

Thank you for the kindness you showed to me and my dog Blanche last Thursday (12/7) when it became necessary to euthanize her. Your compassion made a difficult decision bearable.

You were do sensitive to our needs -- you created a quiet space in Exam Room #1 for me to spend a few last moments with Blanche. And when it came time to put her "to sleep", you talked to her throughout the process. When I left, it was very comforting to look back and see her in your arms (as opposed to laying on the table).

You have a special place in my heart because of how kind you were to Blanche, and me.
